In our adult women’s self-defense classes we discuss basic self-defense as well as sexual assault and domestic violence awareness. Monthly topics vary but include subjects like boundaries, date rape drugs, internet and social networking safety, and pre-indicators of predators. Because of the nature of what we teach, no men are allowed in class except for very respectful “bad guys” whom we get to “beat up” at the end of every class.
Classes are $30 and since it is our goal to make learning self-defense affordable and to allow women a chance to continue to practice and perfect what they have learned we invite women to come back for additional classes on the same level for $10. If women bring a friend or family member with them the tuition is waived for the returning student. We currently are only teaching a Level I class but plans are in the works for adding additional levels that build on the Fight Like a Girl concept.
